PSLE English Headstart workshops covering Paper 1, Paper 2 and PSLE Oral in a Comprehensive Manner.

From Composition Writing to Paper 2 Segments such as Visual Text, Comprehension OE, we break down each segment into different question types and dive deep into the corresponding answering techniques. Equip your child with the skills to identify the question requirements and approach each question in a systematic manner.

Workshop #1: Oral & Listening Comprehension
Adapted for the newest PSLE syllabus, our Oral Examination workshop teaches essential skills to tackle the Stimulus-based Conversation (SBC). This is a big departure from before, where the images were more factual and there is a lower burden on ideation and content. We will equip your child with the necessary skills to ideate, elucidate and articulate their points succinctly and precisely.

Students would also have the opportunity for one-to-one practice with the teacher for both the reading aloud and SBC segments.

Workshop #2: Comprehension
Mastering comprehension requires three critical skills: reading, question dissection and paraphrasing. Through a series of progressive and bite-sized exercises that we developed in-house, we hone your child's comprehension abilities through spaced practices of each critical skill.
These skills are then put together to complete two full comprehension exercises, to create a progressive upramp for your child to build confidence and proficiency.

Workshop #3: Composition Writing
One Story Many Titles
Great stories follow a common story arc. Whether it is award winning children's films such as Frozen, or classic stories like Cinderella, great stories are built on a simple yet robust foundation.
By exposing your child to common storylines that can be used across numerous examination questions, we help them to build a robust bank of story ideas that can be applied across various composition types.

Workshop #4: English Paper 2
In addition to tackling the usual problematic segments such as Comprehension Cloze and Synthesis, our newly revamped Paper 2 workshop would include the latest syllabus for Visual Text, which challenges students to answer inferential questions based on the given information.
We use creative in-house exercises to help students develop their answering techniques and achieve consistency and replicability that would help them to excel in the various segments.

Targeted Practices on Challenging PSLE Questions to Sharpen Critical Skills & Answering Techniques
All questions, guided examples and worksheets are designed your stretch your child and equip them with the ability to tackle questions head-on. You can expect novel activities that go beyond "doing practice questions".​

Through innovative activities, we aim to engage your child's curiosity, build a positive mindset towards learning and hone specific skills required across the segments. For instance, in Comprehension OE, we equip your child with reading, inferential and paraphrasing skills so they write answers that meeting marking requirements all the time.

#1 Perform Question Analysis to Identify Marking Requirements
Many students fail to perform this step which leads to writing answers that do not meet marking requirements.​ We teach your child to do this accurately and efficiently so they know what is required of them for every question.

At Primary 6, your child should not be relying on "gut feel" to answer questions.​ We teach your child systematic answering techniques, so they develop the habit of applying them consistently. This translates into progressive improvements that carries through to the PSLE exam.
